The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology (TARGET)

The Academy at Rutgers for Girls in Engineering and Technology (TARGET) is a summer program designed for middle- and high school students to increase awareness about career opportunities in engineering. Serving 24 students weekly, TARGET hosts six one-week commuter programs. Through a series of hands-on activities, team challenges, speakers, and mentorships, TARGET aims to familiarize students with different engineering disciplines and to destroy negative stereotypes concerning their ability to do well in math and science.
