Rutgers Infant Nutrition and Growth Project
The Rutgers Infant Nutrition and Growth Project, a grant-funded project, studies infants from low-income, minority families. Infants and mothers are seen at ages 3-, 6-, 12-, and 24-months and further followed at ages 3, 4, and 5 years. The program follows infant weight gain, activity levels, overfeeding, and mothers’ perceptions of temperament and infant fussiness in order to better understand the factors promoting overweight in early childhood.
